Hints & Tips
Dangers can occur whilst in and out of the water. Whenever you are using you boat, make sure that you are aware of the areas and dangers around you. Overhead wires and bridges should be considered when moving large boats with tall masts.
Always try and be aware of water levels and potential hazards that may lurk under the water such as animals, netting and rocks. It is worthwhile trying to find out such information before embarking on a journey. Running aground can be costly as it will damage the boat and can potentially damage the environment through fuel leakage etc.
Always pay attention to the weather forecast for the days on which you are due to be on the water. This is especially applicable if you are heading out to sea and are considering staying out for a few days. Weather can change very quickly whilst out in the open and it is best not to get caught unawares.
